I have extremely oily skin, and was getting a lot of acne problems, so I tried the Cetaphil Cleanser for oily skin… after 3 months my skin has improved so uch!! I no longer have acne, AT ALL!!

I use it 2x a day, on my night use I also use a disposable exfoliating sponge to get rid of my mineral makeup…

This product is definitely a keeper!!!

Try this organic cleanser….use it daily

    1/2 cup glycerin
    1/4 cup honey
    2 tbs liquid soap

honey is antibacterial/ glycerin is for non drying skin, liquid soap gentle cleans. mix it all up & store in a pump bottle etc, add some essential oils too if you wish. use as normal, massage in skin, rinse with warm water

i have some but i never feel like my face is clean when i use it. sometimes i rub it in and let it sit for literally 3 or 4 minutes. when i wash it off my skin still feels kind of grimy.. i have some purpose cleanser that i’ve been using since yesterday and it seems to be working good. i hope it doesn’t go all downhill lol because at first cetaphil worked for me very good and now not so much. i dont think its comdogenic but i dont think it cleanses that well which in turn causes me to break out.

Hmmm…I had no idea about the sulfates. :-( I’m soooooo disappointed to hear about this. It never occurred to me to look at the ingredients, especially since my doctor recommended this. I use sulfate-free shampoos (amazing!), but do any of you know of any sulfate and paraben free facial cleansers? I would appreciate any advice/recommendations. Thanks!!!

I agree with you…whilst looking at commercial cleansers, cetaphil seem to list only 8 ingredients, although they are not good, i guess the simple small list is why it works for some. i just cant take the risk lol. still cant get over sodium laureth in this product, although its at the bottom of the list. its suprizing. i did want to try it too since everyone says it feels like silk while washing off…ummm

So am I. Sulfates are harsh harsh detergents that car repair garages/ dirty factories use to clean the floors! But I think with these “gentle” cleansers, they are still allowed to market them as such because 1. it’s not really regulated 2. there isn’t as much in the formula.

I think that if it works for them, they should go on and use it. My personal preference is paraben free.

ooooh ill have to look for that on the next set of organic cleansers i buy just incase it has it..ill remember it since its a P. lol. iam shocked cetaphil contains sodium sulfate which is used in washing up detergent…awful

I’m with you about parabens. They are terrible. But I have done the switch, and let me tell you now, the non paraben stuff needs work too! There is a major ingredient (starts with a P… proxylene I think it is) which is dangerous and is used as a substitute.

I hate to be bias but i dont understand how this cleanser is clearing up folks acne n stuff…it contains terrible harsh ingredients…sodium laureth sulfate & all them parabans….Thank god ive changed my mind about buying this.

    Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser
Ingredients: AQUA/WATER, CETYL ALCOHOL, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, BUTYLPARABEN, METHYLPARABEN, PROPYLPARABEN, SODIUM LAURYL SULFATE, STEARYL ALCOHOL.

I use this face wash as well and absolutely love it! I have oily skin and suffer from occasional breakouts, but this cleanser has really helped both my issues improve. I buy mine at Walgreens. My dermatologist turned me on to this a few years ago and told me that there’s no need to spend an arm and a leg on expensive stuff (you’re basically paying for the marketing). Cetaphil is one of the best products on the market, because it’s gentle, effective, and pure.
