Blue Peel / Chemical Skin Peel Procedure

04 Dec

The Obagi Blue Peel is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that helps reverse the appearance of the aging process. The Obagi BLUE PEEL is a one to four step application of blue solution mixed with TCA (Trichloracetic Acid). These applications will lead to the removal of thin surface layers of aged and damaged skin. Layers of dead skin cells exfoliate and are replaced by healthier ones allowing the skin’s own clarity and tightness to resurface. This informative video follows licensed …

My acne was pretty bad, i did a blue peel but it does not take acne away. I had to take accutain to clear up my acne. OMG! was the accutain soooo worth it! I get maybe 1 zit every month or so. They try to scare you about all the side effects of accutain but I handled it well. Just really dry lips and lots of face lotion at night!

I did the blue peel before. I was recommended to use the obagi products for 6-8 weeks before the peel. I does burn a little during the applying but not a big deal. They gave me Vicodin an hour before and it helped. It takes some of the acne scaring that is more like spots, it really doesnt remove the pitted type scars. I peeled for 8-10 days and looked like a burn victim, kids stared! LOL! its worth it for sure.

The lighting is very different. I am also a photographer and before reading the above comments on the lighting..I was thinking why did they drastically change the lighting scenerio in the before and after?

hello DrFoleyinOlympia, I just visited the DERMATOLOGIST a while ago and i have chiek-up with her, my question is whats the difference between OBAGI and DERMAROLLER,? why is she said that i need to have DERMAROLLER first before OBAGI, i have acne scars

very good video, ive just decided last nite that im going to get a peel. can you get a blue peel with tanned skin. or even phenol peel.i guess it would take months for tanned skin to get its color back but id think its worth it.

they are abit epensive aswell, but i dont think you can put a price on ur looks lol.

well good because if its true it looks awesome but the lighting did change big time. I shoot a lot and do a lot of digital retouching so these things just jump out at me. But this is such a huge jump in color and contrast that I think anyone can tell something is up. I don’t blame you it might be your camera man who didn’t white balance the first time around. he also pumped the F-stop up 1-2 too to give it a less detailed look.( a little high key) it smooths out the skin and makes it feel happy.

In no way was anything done to try to “fool” anyone. We were documenting a procedure. Thanks.

I wish they didn’t switch lighting. I do photography and video and they went for tungsten hard light to soft lights which they white balanced and looks like they over exposed a bit to hide details. Bad bad bad of them to try and fool us. Any how I would love to see a real side beside same lighting test.

because you can become dehydrated during that procedure and that IV keeps fluids running in her body while she sweats

Couple years ago was $450.00, it must be more by now. But, I know it works because Obagi works like magic!

Thanks for the video. I had blue peel twice before, to get rid of my acne scars. Blue peel really helps improve skin colour and texture. It does not get rid of all scars. But skin does look better. It hurts a lot during procedure, only during. But worth it. Advice: get a good doctor, use yr intuition to judge. You need to feel comfortable with the doc and the whole procedure.
