I bought this product after reading all the wonderful reviews about it. I used it as directed, religiously. I experienced no itching/burning sensation, no frosting of skin and no peeling afterwards. The sum of my experience can be expressed in one word: nothing. No improvement. In fact, after a series of disappointed applications, I just poured the contents into my palm and rubbed it over my skin. Nothing. Maybe I received a watered down version.

Careful. Even if you dilute this product to 10% effective concentration, it will still burn your skin badly if you get carried away. It works, but just remember that it IS NOT a gentle peel. Always have cool water at hand to wash the product off your face and don’t keep it on for much longer than 30 seconds the first time you use it. This product comes up cheaper than many of the ready made glycolic acid toners, but you need to adjust the concentration yourself.

I’ve used this product on my face for some light freckles and fine lines. I followed the directions carefully, and have done the peel four times, once every two weeks. It does sting, but it’s tolerable, and my skin borders on being sensitive normally. Anyhow, I use moisturizer for 24-36 hours afterwards, and then when the peeling starts (it’s something you can feel more than actually see) I just lightly scrub with a washcloth for the next 3-4 times I wash my face. But my skin, after all of these treatments, looks the same. I’ll check back later. I have 1/2 a bottle to go.

I honestly can’t say if this product worked because after using the whole bottle I never got the skin I was looking for. My main problem is acne scars that are light pink on my cheeks…nothing makeup doesn’t hide, so I thought a strong product like this would lighten them. Either it didn’t work, or I produced more scars so I never saw the difference. If you have a breakout on your face, or a small scab, this will make those spots bleed and peel it away causing a new scab. I didn’t like that part. It did however dry up my skin causing less breakouts. I’m torn on this product…I don’t know that it actually lightened my scars and I gave myself a peel every 2-3 weeks. I also went for a professional peel at a dermatologist, and saw little to no results as well…so it may just be the peel itself. I do believe this is the commercial quality potency because the burn…oh the burn! About the same I felt at the derm.
